Revelation

The book of revelation is a like a jigsaw puzzle filled with symbols waiting to be deciphered. The complete picture will only emerge shortly before it becomes relevant, e.g. a last big warning about the end times for example. That time is now, and the book of revelation can now be read.

Note that in prophesy one day is one year (Ezekiel 4:4-6). With that in mind all the major prophesies (Daniel, Revelation, etc) make perfect sense.

Note also that many prophesies have a “for back then” application, as well as an “end time” application. For example, World War 3 won’t fit into Armageddon city, so a spiritual Armageddon (worldwide) is implied.

Finally, note that when deciphering the symbols in prophesy, it is the Bible that interprets the Bible. See Revelation 1:20 for an example of how this works.

Remember that no matter what happens, God is in control.

Chapter 1

Prologue
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

God will reveal His plans to His servants first.

“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”
– Amos 3:7

That includes the 144,000.

2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

This is the only book in the Bible where there is a blessing for the one who reads it.

Greetings and Doxology
4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits (Jesus’ message to the church throughout history) which are before his throne;

These are the seven Spirits:

“And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.”
– Isaiah 11:2

1) The spirit of the LORD
2) The spirit of wisdom
3) The spirit of understanding
4) The spirit of counsel
5) The spirit of might
6) The spirit of knowledge
7) The spirit of the fear of the LORD

5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds (relatives) of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

There will be much deception in the last days.

If there is one thing we should know it is that Jesus will come with clouds like lightning.

“Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
– Matthew 24:26-27

8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

One Like a Son of Man

A Son of Man is Jesus.

9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day (Sabbath), and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet (alarm),
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks (the seven churches);
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks (the seven churches) one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt (fastened, placed) about the paps (chest) with a golden girdle (righteousness, faithfulness, truth).
14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 And his feet like unto fine brass (strength), as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters (loud, thunderous, powerful).
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars (angels of the seven churches): and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword (Word of God): and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys (power to open and close) of hell and of death.
19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
20 The mystery of the seven stars (angels of the seven churches) which thou sawest in my right hand (filled with righteousness), and the seven golden candlesticks (the seven churches). The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

This is a good example of where the Bible interprets the Bible. In most cases though, you will need to look a bit further than just one verse.

Chapter 2

Letters to the Seven Churches:

City Meaning Character
Ephesus The desired one Forsaken their first love
Smyrna Myrrh (sweet smelling); Death Tribulation
Pergamum Mixed marriage (with the world) False teachings, and idols
Thyatira Continual sacrifice (dark ages) False prophetess
Sardis Remnant Wake up, and strengthen what remains
Philadelphia Brotherly love Patient
Laodicea People rule (judgment) Lukewarm, about to be rebuked

Some have suggested that the seven churches represent the seven stages of the Church through time, e.g. from Ephesus to Smyrna to Pergamum, etc. If that’s true, then we’re in the last church (Laodicea). The last church is lukewarm, and will be rebuked (so that we will wake up).

To the Church in Ephesus (inset)
1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars (angels of the seven churches) in his right hand (filled with righteousness), who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks (the seven churches);
2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick (church) out of his place, except thou repent.
6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.
7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

To the Church in Smyrna (inset)
8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

To the Church in Pergamum (inset)
12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges (Word of God);
13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.
16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth (Word of God).
17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna (Christ Jesus), and will give him a white stone (God’s Kingdom), and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

To the Church in Thyatira (inset)
18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire (Holy Spirit), and his feet are like fine brass (strength, from earth);
19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins (internal organs) and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron (Jesus and saints will rule with); as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
28 And I will give him the morning star (Jesus).
29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Chapter 3

To the Church in Sardis (inset)
1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God (each individual unction of His Spirit unto the seven churches), and the seven stars (angels of the seven churches); I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

To the Church in Philadelphia (inset)
7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David (eternal blessing), he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door (Jesus Christ), and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

“Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.”
– John 10:7

9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

This verse is interesting, because it hasn’t been fulfilled yet. It’s a direct reference to the end times. Some have suggested this spiritual church refers to the 144,000.

The “hour of temptation” is also a reference to the eleventh-hour labourers from Matthew 20.

11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Even though this church doesn’t have much strength in the beginning, God will make them strong in the end.

13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

To the Church in Laodicea (inset)
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment (Jesus’ heavenly clothing), that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Chapter 4

The Throne in Heaven
1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door (Christ) was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet (alarm) talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

This door may also refer to the door to the Most Holy place in the heavenly tabernacle.

“If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord.”
– Levitucus 1:3

This door would have been opened on 22 October 1844, at the completion of the Daniel 2,300 year prophecy.

“And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.”
– Daniel 8:14

2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone (a stone in the “breastplate of judgment”): and there was a rainbow (God’s glory, evidence of promise kept) round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald (a stone in the “breastplate of judgment”).
4 And round about the throne were four and twenty (courses of priests) seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment (Jesus’ heavenly clothing); and they had on their heads crowns of gold (reward).

The twenty-four elders are special angels.

5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire (seven spirits of God) burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God (each individual unction of His Spirit unto the seven churches).
6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes (watchful) before and behind.
7 And the first beast was like a lion (kingship), and the second beast like a calf (service and sacrifice), and the third beast had a face as a man (humanity), and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle (divinity).

These are all traits of Christ.

Each of these beasts is at the head of their kind, e.g. beasts, cattle, man, and birds.

8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings (deliverance) about him; and they were full of eyes (watchful) within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns (kingship) before the throne, saying,
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Chapter 5

The Book and the Lamb
1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns (kingly power) and seven eyes (watchful, all-seeing), which are the seven Spirits of God (each individual unction of His Spirit unto the seven churches) sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps (joy and praise in song), and golden vials full of odours (prayers of saints), which are the prayers of saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred (relatives), and tongue (language), and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands (100 million);
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

For a more detailed study about when Jesus speaks about the end times (Matthew 24), please click here.

1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
2 And I saw, and behold a white (light, pure, clean) horse (strength): and he that sat on him had a bow (weapon); and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Compare this “false christ” (bow) to the real rider on the white horse (Jesus with the sword).

3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
4 And there went out another horse (strength) that was red (war): and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword (military).

This verse says that “power was given to him”, so this rider is most likely satan.

5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black (absence of God) horse (strength); and he that sat on him had a pair of balances (judgment tool) in his hand.

A “pair of balances” is a judgment tool, so perhaps this rider is God.

6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny (a day’s wages), and three measures of barley for a penny (a day’s wages); and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

This is an indication of what will happen during the great tribulation with regards to food, e.g. one day’s wages for some wheat and barley. Maybe even right down to food stamps like during WWII.

The “oil and the wine” refers to the Holy Spirit. So those with the Holy Spirit will be saved from this. Most Christians have the Holy Spirit as a deposit.

There are plenty of cases where God provides water and food, e.g. Exodus (manna), Elijah (food brought by raven), etc.

God will provide.

7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
8 And I looked, and behold a pale (greenish, fear, unrest, Jacob’s trouble) horse (strength): and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword (military), and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

The fourth part of the Earth (based on the current population of 7 billion) = 1.75 billion people that will die.

Some Bible versions have translated “the beasts of the earth” as “wild beasts”. I don’t think it only means lions, bears, etc. It might just be as simple as a starving dog gone mad. When God withdraws His loving Spirit will that not also affect the animals?

I think the term “the beasts of the earth” is meant in the literal sense.

The combination and order of war, famine, and pestilence has been used before.

When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.
– Jeremiah 14:12

9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
11 And white robes (righteousness of the saints, washed in His blood) were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season (very short period of time), until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth (mourning, humbleness, repentance) of hair (loyalty), and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

A good example of a great earthquake is the Great Lisbon earthquake in 1755.

There has also been partial darkness during the Dark Day in 1780.

But these are only partial fulfillments of verse 12 and 13 however, as no stars have fallen from the sky yet.

14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Only the 144,000 will be able to stand on that day.

The great day of His wrath is sometimes also known as the Day of the Lord, or the Day of Christ. It doesn’t mean that God’s wrath is only one day. It just refers to the Second Coming of Jesus. Note that the Lord’s day refers to Sabbath. Not the same thing.

The last verse is very similar to that in Joel.

“And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?”
– Joel 2:11

Chapter 7

144,000 Sealed
1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four (compass directions) winds (judgment, strife) of the earth, that the wind (judgment, strife) should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east (from God), having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads (minds).

The earth, sea, and the trees are not hurt until the seven trumpets begin. The sealing therefore must take place before the first trumpet.

Just before we entered it [the time of trouble], we all received the seal of the living God. Then I saw the four angels cease to hold the four winds. And I saw famine, pestilence and sword, nation rose against nation, and the whole world was in confusion (Day-Star, March 14, 1846).
– Ellen White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 7, Page 968.11

The four winds are sometimes also referred to as “an angry horse”:

Four mighty angels are still holding the four winds of the earth. Terrible destruction is forbidden to come in full. The accidents by land and by sea; the loss of life, steadily increasing, by storm, by tempest, by railroad disaster, by conflagration; the terrible floods, the earthquakes, and the winds will be the stirring up of the nations to one deadly combat, while the angels hold the four winds, forbidding the terrible power of Satan to be exercised in its fury until the servants of God are sealed in their foreheads.

Angels are holding the four winds, which are represented as an angry horse seeking to break loose and rush over the face of the whole earth, bearing destruction and death in its path.

A terrible conflict is before us. We are nearing the battle of the great day of God Almighty. That which has been held in control is to be let loose. The angel of mercy is folding her wings, preparing to step down from the throne and leave the world to the control of Satan. The principalities and powers of earth are in bitter revolt against the God of heaven. They are filled with hatred against those who serve Him, and soon, very soon, will be fought the last great battle between good and evil. The earth is to be the battlefield–the scene of the final contest and the final victory.

While their hands were loosening, and the four winds were about to blow, the merciful eye of Jesus gazed on the remnant that were not sealed, and He raised His hands to the Father and pleaded with Him that He had spilled His blood for them. Then another angel was commissioned to fly swiftly to the four angels and bid them hold until the servants of God were sealed with the seal of the living God in their foreheads.

– Ellen White, My Life Today, Page 313

4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Note that John hears the number, but doesn’t see them. This is probably because they are spread out all over the Earth.

Also note that the 144,000 is a literal number, and not a symbolic number.

5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.
6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.
7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

Every tribe mentioned above also has a Hebrew meaning.

Judah means I will praise the Lord
Ruben means He has looked on me
Gad means Given good fortune
Asher means Happy am I
Naphtali means My wrestling
Manasseh means Making me to forget
Simeon means God hears me
Levi means Joined to me
Issachar means Purchased me
Zebulun means Dwelling
Joseph means Will add to me
Benjamin means Son of the right hand

Interestingly enough, when you string all the meanings together you get:

I will praise the Lord [for] He has looked on me [and] given good fortune. Happy am I [because] my wrestling, [God is] making me to forget. God hears me [and is] joined to me. [He Has] purchased me [a] dwelling [and] will add to me, [the] son of the right hand.

The Great Multitude in White Robes
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms (victory) in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

The following verses refer to the 144,000 again. Note the break, and the references to “serve him day and night in his temple” (servants), and “neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat” (fourth plague). All traits of the 144,000.

13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Chapter 8

The Seventh Seal and the Golden Censer
1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets (alarm).
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer (fire pan); and there was given unto him much incense (prayer of the saints), that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar (place before God) which was before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense (prayer of the saints), which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.
5 And the angel took the censer (fire pan), and filled it with fire of the altar (place before God), and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

The Trumpets

– Source unknown

1. The third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
2. The third part of the sea became blood; and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
3. The third part of the waters became wormwood (bitterness)
4. The third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened
5. Locusts
6. The third part of men killed (by the 200 million horsemen)
7. Seven Plagues

Note that the phrase “third part” is used 12 times in all of the trumpets.

6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets (alarms) prepared themselves to sound.
7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

Planet X has a large tail made up of “trash” (comets, etc) behind it. Could this be used to fulfill this prophecy?

8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

A great mountain burning with fire can easily be an asteroid crashing into the sea.

9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood (judgment, bitterness): and the third part of the waters became wormwood (bitterness); and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet (alarm) of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

Chapter 9

The Trumpets (Continued)

Woes:
1. Fifth trumpet
2. Sixth trumpet
3. Seventh trumpet

1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star (angel) fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key (power to open and close) of the bottomless pit (a dark and empty earth).
2 And he opened the bottomless pit (a dark and empty earth); and there arose a smoke (anger and jealousy) out of the pit (a dark and empty earth), as the smoke (angel and jealousy) of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke (anger and jealousy) of the pit (grave, hell, corruption).
3 And there came out of the smoke (anger and jealousy) locusts (people without a king, unstable, destructive, demonic) upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions (powerless against Christians) of the earth have power.
4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass (small/weak) of the earth, neither any green (flourishing) thing, neither any tree (righteous man); but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

Those men that have the “seal of God in their foreheads”, include the 144,000, and also those that keep the Commandments. The fourth Commandment (Sabbath) is sometimes also referred to as “the seal of God”.

I don’t see why God would unleash demonic locusts on His children.

5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion (powerless against Christians), when he striketh a man.

The life span of a locust (in nature) is about 4-6 months. The term “locust” here refers to a spiritual locust, e.g. demons.

The phrase “five months” is literal.

6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
7 And the shapes of the locusts (people without a king, unstable, destructive, demonic) were like unto horses (strength) prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns (kingship) like gold, and their faces (presence) were as the faces (presence) of men.
8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
10 And they had tails like unto scorpions (powerless against Christians), and there were stings (death) in their tails (false prophet and lies): and their power was to hurt men five months.
11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit (a dark and empty earth), whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

Note that real-life locusts don’t have a king. They must be referring to spiritual locusts.

Abaddon = Apollyon = “the destroyer” = satan

12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.
13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns (kingly power) of the golden altar (a place before God) which is before God,
14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates (tool of judgment).

The angels were bound, which probably means they were fallen angels.

15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

Based on a remaining world population of 5.25 billion (7 billion minus a quarter, 4th seal), a third part of men = 1.75 billion people will die.

Also note that this takes place well over a year. The final judgment of Earth will take some time.

16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand (200 million): and I heard the number of them.

Most countries would struggle to raise an army that size.

Only two possibilities for this:
1. A combination of armies, e.g. (UN + US) or maybe (China + Russia), etc.
2. Jihad “army”, e.g. 10-15% of 1.6 billion Muslims would be enough to start a holy war.

17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire (Hole Spirit), and of jacinth, and brimstone (destruction, wrath of God): and the heads of the horses (strength) were as the heads of lions (fearless); and out of their mouths issued fire (Holy Spirit) and smoke (anger and jealousy) and brimstone (destruction, wrath of God).
18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire (judgment), and by the smoke (anger and jealousy), and by the brimstone (destruction, wrath of God), which issued out of their mouths.
19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails (false prophet and lies): for their tails (false prophet and lies) were like unto serpents (poisonous), and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

This is a dramatic turn of events. Those alive are unable to repent.

Chapter 10

The Angel and the Little Book
1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud (covering): and a rainbow (God’s glory, evidence of promise kept) was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun (His Glory), and his feet as pillars (church) of fire (Hole Spirit):
2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders (God’s voice) uttered their voices (to proclaim).
4 And when the seven thunders (God’s voice) had uttered their voices (to proclaim), I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders (God’s voice) uttered, and write them not.
5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
10 And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

The little book is the book of Daniel.

“And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.”
– Daniel 8:24

When students of prophecy had learned that one day is one year (Ezekiel 4:4-6), Daniel’s 2300 days prophecy became as new. By adding 2300 years to the start of the prophecy, 457 BC, the end of the prophecy was calculated to be 1844 AD.

This created lots of excitement as people thought that Jesus would be coming back in 1844!! (Sweet in the mouth)

When nothing happened in 1844 it turned into what is now known as “The Great Disappointment”. (Bitter in the belly)

After “The Great Disappointment” people studied the Bible again, and again, and ultimately concluded that 1844 was merely the start of Judgment (probation).

We have been living in the end times for the last 170 years (ish).

11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues (languages), and kings.

Chapter 11

The Two Witnesses (inset)
1 And there was given me a reed (staff) like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months (1260 years).
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses (testimony), and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days (1260 years), clothed in sackcloth (mourning).
4 These are the two olive trees (witnesses, anointed ones), and the two candlesticks (people, church) standing before the God of the earth.
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony (evidence of His hand, His Word), the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit (a dark and empty earth) shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

The beast here is France, or more specifically the French Revolution.

8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom (immoral) and Egypt (atheism), where also our Lord was crucified.
9 And they of the people and kindreds (relatives) and tongues (languages) and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half (3.5 years), and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11 And after three days and an half (3.5 years) the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

Some people think the two witnesses are Moses (representing the Law) and Elijah (representing the Prophets), however this can’t be the case. First of all, God would never leave the dead bodies of Moses and Elijah lying on the streets for 3.5 years. Second of all, it is stated that they prophesy for 1260 years which means we would have already seen them. Thirdly, both Moses and Elijah would have spiritual bodies on which death no longer has an effect.

“You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me.”
– John 5:39 (ESV)

The two witnesses (those that testify) are the Old and the New Testament. The sackcloth they were wearing refers to “mourning” during the Dark Ages.

“The two witnesses represent the Scriptures of the Old and the New Testament. Both are important testimonies to the origin and perpetuity of the law of God. Both are witnesses also to the plan of salvation. The types, sacrifices, and prophecies of the Old Testament point forward to a Saviour to come. The Gospels and Epistles of the New Testament tell of a Saviour who has come in the exact manner foretold by type and prophecy.”
– GC 267.1

As it turns out in November 1773, the Bible was voted out by the French government (“death”), and after 3.5 years on June 1797, was voted back in (“resurrection”) by the same French government. This all happened during the French Revolution (1789 – 1799) when they declared God “dead”.

“France stands apart in the world’s history as the single state which, by the decree of her Legislative Assembly, pronounced there was no God, and of which the entire population of the capital, and a vast majority elsewhere, women as well as men, danced and sang with joy in accepting the announcement.”
– Blackwood’s Magazine, November, 1870

“The French Revolution was one of the momentous events in the history, not only of France, but of Europe and even the whole world.”
– L.E. Froom, Prophetic Faith of Our Fathers, Vol. 2, pg. 633.

Instead of the two witnesses being the Old Testament and the New Testament, it might also be possible to see the two witnesses as Law and Prophets.

The Scripture at the time of John was sometimes also referred to as “the law, and the prophets”.

“Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
– John 1:45

In both cases, the two witnesses refer to Scripture. Also keep in mind that it’s always God’s Word that is actually performing the miracles. Moses and Elijah couldn’t possibly have witnessed everything.

Why two witnesses?

“One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.”
– Deuteronomy 19:15

This is also why Jesus sent out his disciples “two by two”.

12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

This is the same way Jesus ascended into heaven. Also on a cloud.

Shortly after this, the Bible made a powerful comeback. Especially when it was printed in large numbers by the British and Foreign Bible Society (1804), and the American Bible Society (1816).

Don’t mess with the Bible.

13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake (great political revolutions), and the tenth part (a considerable portion) of the city (the persecuting power) fell, and in the earthquake (great political revolutions) were slain of men (names of men, titles) seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Not a literal earthquake, but more a political shaking.

France was shaken as if by an earthquake.
– GC 286.1

The Seventh Trumpet
14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

“Thy wrath” refers to the seven plagues.

19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

That last verse refers to the seven plagues. In fact, all of the above comes from the last plague.

The resurrection takes place in the seventh (last) trumpet.

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
– 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

The living during this time (144,000) shall be translated.

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”
– 1 Corinthians 15:51-54

Chapter 12

The history of the church, the man child, and the dragon, etc.

Not necessarily in chronological order.

The Woman and the Dragon (inset)
1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman (church) clothed with the sun (His glory), and the moon under her feet (giver of life), and upon her head a crown of twelve stars (twelve tribes of Israel, later the twelve disciples):
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon (satan), having seven heads (king) and ten horns (kingly power), and seven crowns (kingship) upon his heads (king).
4 And his tail (false prophet and lies) drew the third part of the stars of heaven (angels), and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

King Herod tried to kill Jesus.

5 And she brought forth a man child (Jesus), who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron (strength): and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness (secretive), where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days (1260 years).
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Satan and his angels were cast out of heaven at some point before the Creation.

For a more detailed study on the war in heaven, please click here.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child (Jesus).
14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle (swiftness, great), that she might fly into the wilderness (secretive), into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time (1260 years), from the face of the serpent (satan).
15 And the serpent (satan) cast out of his mouth water as a flood (destroys flesh) after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood (destroys flesh).
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood (destroys flesh) which the dragon (satan) cast out of his mouth.

The earth helped the woman by providing hiding places, e.g. caves, mountains, etc.

17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Chapter 13

The Beast out of the Sea (inset)

– Source unknown

For a detailed breakdown of the beast out of the sea, please see Chapter 17.

1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast (nation) rise up out of the sea (people), having seven heads (king) and ten horns (kingly power), and upon his horns (kingly power) ten crowns (kingship), and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast (nation) which I saw was like unto a leopard (government), and his feet were as the feet of a bear (government), and his mouth as the mouth of a lion (strong nation): and the dragon (satan) gave him his power, and his seat (presence), and great authority.

The lion-bear-leopard beast (from the book of Daniel) has been widely recognized as Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece. Note that the order in the book of Revelation has been reversed, e.g. in Daniel it is lion-bear-leopard, but in Revelation it is leopard-bear-lion.

Lion “arrogance and blasphemy”
Bear “persecuting power”
Leopard “dominion”

Those are all characteristics of the Roman Catholic Church.

“Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
– Daniel 7:23

The Roman Catholic Church is the New World Order.

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast (nation).

The “deadly wound” refers to the papacy being abolished in 1798 (by Napoleon’s army). The “deadly wound” was healed again when the papacy was restored in 1929 (Lateral Treaty). For more information see Revelation 13:10.

There are many, many quotes of world leaders “wondering” after the beast. Here are some from when pope Francis was elected in 2013.

“On behalf of the American people, Michelle and I offer our warm wishes to His Holiness Pope Francis as he ascends to the chair of St Peter and begins his papacy.”
– Barack Obama, the US president

“We share many common goals – from the promotion of peace, social justice and human rights, to the eradication of poverty and hunger – all core elements of sustainable development.”
– Ban Ki-moon, UN secretary-general

“I am confident that the constructive partnership between Russia and the Vatican will continue, and will further develop on the basis of the Christian values that unite us. Your Holiness, I wish you good health, well-being and productive work in strengthening peace and in furthering dialogue between civilizations and religions.”
– Vladimir Putin, president of Russia

4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast (nation): and they worshipped the beast (nation), saying, Who is like unto the beast (nation)? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months (1260 years).
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds (relatives), and tongues (languages), and nations.
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword (military) must be killed with the sword (military). Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

The papacy was allowed to persecute the saints from 538 (power over the Churches given to the papacy by Emperor Justinian) for 1260 years (538 – 1798).

According to prophecy the papacy was indeed given a “deadly wound” in 1798 (the papacy was abolished), and the then current pope Pius VI was taken captive by the sword (Napoleon’s army, General Berthier). Pope Pius VI was then moved from prison to prison, and died soon after (whilst in prison).

“Half Europe thought … that with the Pope the Papacy was dead.”
– Joseph Rickaby, The Modern Papacy, p. 1, in Lectures on the History of Religion, vol. 3 [lecture 24]

It wasn’t until 1929 until the papacy’s “deadly wound” was healed by the Lateral Treaty.

Daniel had also confirmed the 1260 years with his “time, times, and half a time” (time = 360 days, times = 720 days, and half a time = 180 days, total = 1260 days).

“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”
– Daniel 7:25

The papacy’s “deadly wound” in 1798 coincided with the time the USA came up from the earth (see below).

The Beast out of the Earth (inset)

– Jack Dykinga

11 And I beheld another beast (nation) coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns (kingly power) like a lamb (innocent, young, Christian), and he spake (legislate) as a dragon (satan).

After John saw the “deadly wound” of the Beast of the Sea (pope Pius VI when he went into captivity, and then died), a new lamb-like beast came up out of the earth. Lamb-like means “new, young, etc”, and to “come out of the earth” means “new territory, not formerly occupied”. This new world power, which had their mind set against God (as it changed), can only be the USA.

The USA came up from the earth around the time of the “deadly wound” (1798), and it is the only relevant superpower in the world for that to be true. In 1776 the “Declaration of Independence” was signed, and in 1798 the USA was recognized as new, separate country by other countries in the world.

The USA started out as a lamb-like country, e.g. innocent, young, Christian, but as time passed by the beast started speaking (legislate) like a dragon (satan). When the book of Revelation says “legislate”, this could easily be the mark of the beast (the Sunday law). In fact this is already happening. The USA are really the muscles of the New World Order. They have the military power to enforce the Sunday law (just look at the Patriot Act, and Martial Law, etc), and force everyone to worship the beast out of the sea.

The earth beast does not have any crowns (kingship), but it does have two horns (which can also be seen as “government”). The two horns are generally likened to two “governing principles”, e.g. civil liberty (republicanism, a government without a king) and religious liberty (protestantism, a church without a pope).

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast (nation) before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast (nation), whose deadly wound was healed.

The USA (and its military) will force all of the earth to worship the beast out of the sea. The true power of the USA military is actually more like 30-50 (?) years ahead of anything we’ve seen so far.

Note that the phrase “causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast” means that the USA will force you to sign up with the New World Order as created by the Roman Catholic Church.

The “deadly wound” refers to the papacy being abolished in 1798 (by Napoleon’s army). The “deadly wound” was healed again when the papacy was restored in 1929 (Lateral Treaty). For more information see Revelation 13:10.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

Many false signs and wonders will come from the USA.

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast (nation); saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast (nation), which had the wound by a sword (military), and did live.

The “deadly wound” refers to the papacy being abolished in 1798 (by Napoleon’s army). The “deadly wound” was healed again when the papacy was restored in 1929 (Lateral Treaty). For more information see Revelation 13:10.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast (nation), that the image of the beast (nation) should both speak (legislation), and cause (force, enforcement) that as many as would not worship the image of the beast (nation) should be killed.

In the USA the 501c3 tax free status is used to bring churches under regulation of the government. Yes you have certain tax benefits, but at the same time you now have to comply with the rules and regulations of the government. Once under the 501c3, it can be real hard to get away from that (penalties, etc).

This will almost certainly be used to help create the image of the beast, where the church and the state are intertwined (and under the control of the Roman Catholic Church).

Ultimately you will be forced to keep the Sunday as a holy day, and if you don’t comply you will be killed. It is the image of the beast (USA) that will legalize/enforce this (Sunday Law, etc).

Far fetched? Then consider this.

If we believe religion is true, we should be reintroducing a criminal penalty for those who fail to attend church on Sunday.
– Daily Independent 4-11-98, Sara Maitland, “On the issues of belief”

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark (sign) in their right hand (deeds), or in their foreheads (thoughts):

In the last days there will be two churches:

1) The church of Christ
2) The “church” of satan (antichrist)

You will be required to make a choice between the two. The choice for Jesus may cost you your life on Earth, but the choice for satan will ultimately cost you your eternal life.

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.”
– Mark 8:35

Those with the mark of the beast will undergo the seven plagues (God’s wrath).

The mark is not a chip.

“And thou shalt bind them (The Commandments) for a sign (mark) upon thine hand (right hand, deeds), and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes (forehead, thoughts).”
– Deuteronomy 6:8

The mark is in your doing and thinking.

The mark is about choosing satan’s Sunday Law over God’s Sabbath Day.

God always wanted to spend time with us, so He created a special “Sabbath” day (the fourth Commandment) which He hallowed.

“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.”
– James 4:8

Satan knew this so he got his “church” to change the Ten Commandments, by changing Sabbath into a “holy day” (Sunday). Satan clearly thinks he’s above the law.

– Source unknown

“Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change [from Sabbath to Sunday] was her act. And the act is the mark of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters.”
– Faith of Our Fathers, p. 14 C.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons

The Roman Catholic Church also removed the “no idols” commandment, so that they could keep worshipping statues.

The fourth Commandment is sometimes better known as the Seal of God, as it bares all the trademarks of a proper seal, e.g. name (“the Lord”), title (“Creator”), and domain (“Heaven and Earth”). Those who have the seal will be spared from God’s wrath. See Revelation 9:4.

Going to church on Sunday (ignoring Sabbath, and following satan’s commandments instead), as innocent as it seems, is a direct insult to God. That’s why everybody with the mark of the beast will undergo the seven plagues.

So the question becomes; do we still need to keep the Ten Commandments?

The Word of God is clear:

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
– John 14:15

For the last days specifically:

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
– Revelation 14:12

Both seal and mark can be translated as “sign”. A sign is like a confirmation of what you believe in.

“And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.”
– Ezekiel 20:20

Yes Father, I love you, and I will keep your Commandments. It’s a sign.

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.”

– Exodus 20:8-11

Sabbath is not just a Jewish tradition. Jesus kept the Sabbath, the apostles did, and so did the early church.

Will there be a Sabbath in heaven?

“For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.”
– Isaiah 66:22-23

The Sabbath is important to God.

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark (sign), or the name (character) of the beast (nation), or the number of his name (666).

Sign up to the New World Order (including the Sunday Law), or there will be no way to buy or sell. Most likely enforced by the use of a RFID chip. Note that the RFID is not the mark of the beast itself. The mark of the beast is the Sunday Law, and the RFID chip is just the stick to force you to sign up.

– Source unknown

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast (nation): for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six (666).

The current pope is head of the Roman Catholic Church. His job title is “Vicarius Filii Dei” (true for every pope) which means “Vicar of the Son of God” which means “Instead of the Son of God”. That’s blasphemy.

In Latin every letter in the alphabet has a numerical value also, and when you add them all up for “Vicarius Filii Dei”, you get:

This is no coincidence, as there are many more job titles (Latin, Greek, Hebrew, etc) that all add up to 666 as well.

The Roman Catholic Church has done a good job of hiding this part of the prophecy in Revelation, but every now and then a reminder pops up.

– From a photograph taken in the Vatican museum

An article in the April 18, 1915, issue of “Our Sunday Visitor” (a Catholic journal) had the following question and answer:
Q: What are the letters on the Pope’s crown, and what do they signify, if anything?
A: The letters on the Pope’s crown are these: Vicarius Filii Dei, which is a Latin for ‘Vicar of the Son of God.’

Chapter 14

The Lamb and the 144,000 (inset)
1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name (a reflection of His Character) written in their foreheads (minds).

All the servants from chapter 7 will make it through to mount Sion. God keeps His promises, and does not lie. It’s hope in its purest form. None will fail.

Here is an example of how the Father’s Name refers to His Character.

“For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”
– Isaiah 57:15

2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters (loud, powerful), and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3 And they sung as it were a new song (experience) before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song (experience) but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled (to make unclean) with women; for they are virgins (undefiled). These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

Redeemed from men (living) + seal of protection = no death. The 144,000 will be translated.

5 And in their mouth was found no guile (associated with wrongdoing of all kinds): for they are without fault before the throne of God.

The whole “without fault” (no sin), and “no guile” (no deceit) is very similar as to how Jesus walked.

“For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth.”
– 1 Peter 2:21-22

It also ties in with this verse really well.

“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”
– Romans 8:29-30

It shows that the 144,000 are called (chosen), and are predestinated to be conform the image of Jesus.

Here’s what Ellen White says about the 144,000. Please note as to what verses she attributes to the 144,000.

“Upon the crystal sea before the throne, that sea of glass as it were mingled with fire,–so resplendent is it with the glory of God,–are gathered the company that have “gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name.” With the Lamb upon Mount Zion, “having the harps of God,” they stand, the hundred and forty and four thousand that were redeemed from among men; and there is heard, as the sound of many waters, and as the sound of a great thunder, “the voice of harpers harping with their harps.” And they sing “a new song” before the throne, a song which no man can learn save the hundred and forty and four thousand. It is the song of Moses and the Lamb–a song of deliverance. None but the hundred and forty-four thousand can learn that song; for it is the song of their experience–an experience such as no other company have ever had. “These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth.” These, having been translated from the earth, from among the living, are counted as “the first fruits unto God and to the Lamb.” Revelation 15:2, 3; 14:1-5. “These are they which came out of great tribulation;” they have passed through the time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation; they have endured the anguish of the time of Jacob’s trouble; they have stood without an intercessor through the final outpouring of God’s judgments. But they have been delivered, for they have “washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” “In their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault” before God. “Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple: and He that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.” They have seen the earth wasted with famine and pestilence, the sun having power to scorch men with great heat, and they themselves have endured suffering, hunger, and thirst. But “they shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” Revelation 7:14-17.”
– Ellen White, The Great Controversy, pp. 648, 649

The Three Angels (inset)

The three angels’ message is God’s final message to mankind.

6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred (relatives), and tongue (language), and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city (wicked, worldly), because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast (nation) and his image, and receive his mark (sign) in his forehead (voluntary), or in his hand (forced),

The mark of the beast is the compliance with Sunday Law. See Revelation 13:16 for more details.

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast (nation) and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark (sign) of his name.

The mark of the beast is the compliance with Sunday Law. See Revelation 13:16 for more details.

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

The Harvest of the Earth (inset)
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown (kingship), and in his hand a sharp sickle (harvest tool).
15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle (harvest tool), and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle (harvest tool) on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle (harvest tool).
18 And another angel came out from the altar (a place before God), which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle (harvest tool), saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle (harvest tool), and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
19 And the angel thrust in his sickle (harvest tool) into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress (God presses/tests man) of the wrath of God.
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress (God presses/tests man), even unto the horse bridles (mastery, restraint), by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs (960,000 feet).

The order of the harvest is as follows:
1. The believers
2. The unbelievers

The harvesting is done by the angels (reapers), and the unbelievers will be destroyed by fire.

The harvest from the book of Revelation, is similar to the harvest from Matthew 13.

“Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.”
– Matthew 13:30 (NIV)

Although it seems that the unbelievers are harvested first, they are actually bundled to be burned later, so the believers are still harvested first.

Chapter 15

Seven Angels With Seven Plagues

The great tribulation (mark of the beast) is over, and only the 144,000 and the wicked are on the Earth at this point. The seven plagues are for the wicked. God’s wrath. No more mercy. No more intercession.

1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass (reflected glory) mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast (nation), and over his image, and over his mark (sign), and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass (reflected glory), having the harps of God.

Now the 144,000 are before the throne (that’s where the sea of glass is).

Provided they don’t sin, the wrath of God will not affect them.

The mark of the beast is the compliance with Sunday Law. See Revelation 13:16 for more details.

3 And they sing the song of Moses (deliverance) the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb (deliverance), saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

This is the song the 144,000 sing.

5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:
6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles (righteousness).
7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.
8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

Chapter 16

The Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath

1. Sores
2. Blood seas
3. Blood rivers
4. Sun scorches people with fire
5. Darkness
6. Armageddon
7. “It is done”, followed by lightning, rumblings, thunder, earthquake, and hail

Not all plagues are universal.

No more mercy after this point. Probation has closed. Every case has been decided.

He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
– Revelation 22:11-12

It is also at this point that the restraining Spirit of God is withdrawn from the Earth.

Now the ugly face of sin will be exposed for all to see.

1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast (Sunday law), and upon them which worshipped his image.

The mark of the beast is the compliance with Sunday Law. See Revelation 13:16 for more details.

3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

It now becomes clear that the wicked cannot repent. They blaspheme at Him instead. They hate Him.

10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat (presence) of the beast (nation); and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

Here we learn that some of the plagues are cumulative, e.g. they still have the sores from the first plague.

12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east (God and Jesus) might be prepared.

The river Euphrates refers to the “waters” (many people of Babylon). The “water has dried up” refers to the love of the wicked being dried up (hardened hearts).

13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs (destruction) come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast (nation), and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city (wicked, worldly) was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

The Empire of the City:

City Obelisk
Vatican City

(Religion)

City of London

(Finance)

District of Columbia (Washington D.C.)

(Military)

20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent (100 to 200 pounds): and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
– Job 38:22-23

At this point all the wicked are dead.

Chapter 17

The Woman on the Beast (inset)
1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore (church with false teachings) that sitteth upon many waters (peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues):
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness (secretive): and I saw a woman (church) sit upon a scarlet (sins) coloured beast (nation), full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads (kings) and ten horns (kingly powers).

In prophecy woman means “church”, scarlet means “sins”, and beast means “nation”, so we’re looking for a country that has a church in charge of a sinful nation. That combination is unique, and there is only one country in the world that matches that.

It’s the Vatican. The smallest country in the world.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking they’re innocent. The Roman Catholic Church killed at least 50 million Christians during the Dark Ages. They are without doubt the antichrist of the Bible.

The color scarlet is unusual, but nonetheless very popular with the Roman Catholic Church (see image below).

4 And the woman (church) was arrayed in purple and scarlet (sins) colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

Purple and scarlet are unique colors worn by the Vatican.

5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

It is interesting that Alberto Rivera, not too long ago, pointed out that it was the Roman Catholic Church that had created Islam. Alberto paid with his life for revealing this information, e.g. poisoned, according to his wife.

Who knows what other “harlots” the Roman Catholic Church has created.

6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads (kings) and ten horns (kingly powers).
8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit (a dark and empty earth), and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

You can find the Lateran Treaty on Wikipedia

9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains (hills), on which the woman (church) sitteth.

It is well known that Rome sits on seven hills:

10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

When John wrote the book of Revelation, the king that “is” is the Roman Empire, so that should be number six. The rest flows from there. The five fallen kings are the worldly powers that were against God. The king that is “not yet come” has to be the Roman Catholic Church, e.g. the antichrist. Their worldly power (or fully functional New World Order) will only be there for a “short space”.

The seven kings:

1. Egypt fallen
2. Assyria fallen
3. Babylon fallen
4. Medo-Persia fallen
5. Greece fallen
6. Roman Empire (caesars) “is”
7. Roman Catholic Church “not yet come”

Please note that Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome were also part of Daniel’s prophecy. Egypt and Assyria were in the past (for Daniel), so they are not in that list of kingdoms.

11 And the beast (nation) that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition (destruction).

Note that the eighth king does not have a beast-head of its own (seven heads, eight kings), but rather is “(made up) of the seven”. I don’t know who that king will be, but in general terms it will be another satan-possessed person with some power and authority. (Or maybe even satan himself)

12 And the ten horns (kingly power) which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast (nation).

The ten kingdoms of the New World Order, as determined by the Club of Rome:
1. North America
2. Western Europe
3. Japan
4. Australia and South Africa
5. Eastern Europe
6. Latin America
7. North Africa and the Middle East
8. Main Africa
9. South and Southeast Asia
10. Centrally Planned Asia

13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast (nation).
14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

This is a reference to:

“For many are called, but few are chosen.”
– Matthew 22:14

15 And he saith unto me, The waters (peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues) which thou sawest, where the whore (church with false teachings) sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
16 And the ten horns (kingly powers) which thou sawest upon the beast (nation), these shall hate the whore (church with false teachings), and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

They will turn on each other.

17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast (nation), until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
18 And the woman (church) which thou sawest is that great city (wicked, worldly), which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

Chapter 18

The Fall of Babylon (inset)
1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

Important to note that for this to come true, all nations must have done this.

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Note that the above verse says “my people”. This message is clearly meant for God’s People (Christians).

If you’re in a Sunday church, and you believe in eternal Hell, and a secret Rapture, then you need to “come out of her”. Your Sunday church is financially linked (tithing) to the Roman Catholic Church (antichrist). The mark of the beast (Sunday Law) is on your forehead.

God will destroy the Roman Catholic Church, and He doesn’t want you anywhere near them, or else you will receive the same plagues He will send to them.

This verse is very similar to that in Jeremiah.

“My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the Lord.”
– Jeremiah 51:45

5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day (period of time), death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour (period of time) is thy judgment come.
11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.
15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
16 And saying, Alas, alas that great city (wicked, worldly), that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet (sins), and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
17 For in one hour (period of time) so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city (wicked, worldly)!
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city (wicked, worldly), wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour (period of time) is she made desolate.
20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone (to grind) shall be heard no more at all in thee;
23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

Chapter 19

Hallelujah!
1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore (church with false teachings), which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
3 And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters (loud, powerful), and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

The Rider on the White Horse
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse (strength); and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True (Jesus), and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture (clothing) dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Is Jesus’ secret name given here as “The Word of God”?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
– John 1:1-5

It’s also a reminder of what Jesus said when He was tempted by satan.

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
– Matthew 4:4

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses (strength), clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword (Word of God), that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron (Jesus and saints will rule with): and he treadeth the winepress (God presses/tests man) of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture (clothing) and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls (birds) that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast (nation), and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse (strength), and against his army.
20 And the beast (nation) was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast (nation), and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

The mark of the beast is the compliance with Sunday Law. See Revelation 13:16 for more details.

21 And the remnant were slain with the sword (Word of God) of him that sat upon the horse (strength), which sword (Word of God) proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls (birds) were filled with their flesh.

Chapter 20

– Source unknown

The Thousand Years
1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key (power to open and close) of the bottomless pit (a dark and empty earth) and a great chain (ornament) in his hand.

Imagine that day when the angel with the chain taps on satan’s shoulder, and says “your time is up!!”.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit (a dark and empty earth), and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season (a very short period of time).
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

The mark of the beast is the compliance with Sunday Law. See Revelation 13:16 for more details.

Beheading is part of Obamacare’s “E978 Legal execution” section. It’s described as “beheading, decapitation (by guillotine)”. Not long ago the USA ordered 30,000 guillotines. ISIS uses plain knifes. Don’t be afraid though, God will be with you.

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Those that are part of the first resurrection shall reign/judge with God. This means that God will open the books of life to us, and explain to you why your loved ones aren’t in heaven. This process will take 1,000 years.

“Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?”
– 1 Corinthians 6:2-3

No one, having seen the efforts of God to try and reach your loved ones, will disagree with God who is just and true.

6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

So there are two resurrections. The first resurrection is for the righteous (eternal life), and the second resurrection is for the wicked (they will receive the second death).

Satan’s Doom
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters (compass directions) of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

The literal fulfillment of “Gog from Magog” was in Ezekiel 38-39. Gog there was a person (chief prince), and Magog was the country Gog was from. Gog went up against Israel, but was completely destroyed.

The spiritual fulfillment of “Gog and Magog” refers to Gog (satan) and Magog (his followers from all over the earth – the four quarters) against spiritual Israel (God’s children). God will destroy satan and his followers.

9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

The greek word used for “forever” is aeon, which means “age”, and can be translated as:
1) “forever”, or
2) “a period of time”

Depending on the context.

The Bible clearly states that “the wages of sin are death“, and that the lake of fire means second death.

So in this case the greek word aeon should be translated as “a period of time”, or in other words “shall be tormented day and night until they die”.

Satan, his fallen angels, and the wicked will die.

The Dead are Judged

This is the judgment of the wicked.

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Even satan, his angels, and the wicked will acknowledge that God is just and true.

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
– Philippians 2:10-11

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

This will vindicate God’s character.

Chapter 21

The New Jerusalem

Carlos S.

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Note that this list includes liars. That’s how much God hates it.

9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city (wicked, worldly), the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Chapter 22

The River of Life

1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name (character) shall be in their foreheads (thoughts).

God’s Character in this case refers to the Ten Commandments. They will be sealed in our minds, and we will no longer be able to sin.

5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

Jesus is Coming
7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

Probation closed. Jesus will leave the heavenly temple. Every case has been decided.

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star (Jesus).
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
