Who do You Worship?

God uses some pretty strong language to describe the mark of the beast.

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead [thoughts], or in his hand [deeds], the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
– Revelation 14:9-10

We can immediately see that the mark of the beast has to do with worshiping. Christian or not, if you worship the beast, God’s wrath is on you.

A mark is also known as a sign, and interestingly enough, so are God’s Ten Commandments.

And thou shalt bind them [Ten Commandments] for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
– Deuteronomy 6:8

Note here that God’s Ten Commandments are also kept in the forehead (thoughts), and in the hand (deeds). The space between your eyes is where the frontal lobe is. All decisions are made there.

So already we can see that the mark is about who you worship, and has something to do with the Ten Commandments.

Let’s have a closer look at what it means to worship.

Worship: the feeling or expression of reverence and adoration for a deity.
Reverence: deep respect for someone or something.
Adoration: deep love and respect.

So in short it means “deep love and respect”.

But how do we love God?

If you love Me, keep My commandments.
– John 14:15 (NKJV)

Jesus said this, so obviously it’s important.

Note that this verse about worshiping points back to the Ten Commandments.

The book of Revelation also points to the Ten Commandments.

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
– Revelation 12:17

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
– Revelation 14:12

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
– Revelation 22:14

Three times (!!) it mentions the Ten Commandments.

The book of Revelation was specifically written for the last days, so this is clearly very important.

God wants us to keep the Ten Commandments no matter what.

It’s a test.

Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
– Revelation 3:10 (NKJV)

When it comes down to “Who do you worship?” there is of course only one other contender and that’s satan. He’s got his own counterfeit “commandments”, and he wants you to worship him.

When it comes to worshiping there is only one Commandment that comes to mind, and that’s the Sabbath Commandment.

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
– Exodus 20:8-11 (NKJV)

The Sabbath Day (blessed and hallowed) is a set day for worshiping and fellow shipping.

If satan wants people to worship him he would need to change the Sabbath Commandment, and replace it with something else. Satan’s day, his mark if you will, is better known as the ‘Holy’ Day (Sunday). This change was made in 321 AD.

Now you might say that it’s just a day!! Right?!?

But please understand that to God it’s not just a day. God is waiting for you on the Sabbath Day, and not on any other day. Remember that it was God’s own finger that wrote the Ten Commandments in stone. The Ark of the Covenant (in which the Ten Commandments were kept) is a central part of the earthly and heavenly tabernacle.

The earthly tabernacle is a shadow of the heavenly tabernacle.

Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.
– Hebrews 8:1-2 (NKJV)

But both have the Ten Commandments at the very heart of it.

Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.
– Revelation 11:19 (NKJV)

Breaking the Sabbath Commandment means you are guilty of breaking all of the Law.

For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
– James 2:10 (NKJV)

The change from Sabbath to Sunday was prophesied.

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
– Daniel 7:25

This also clearly points the finger at who the antichrist is.

Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change [from Sabbath to Sunday] was her act. And the act is the mark of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters.
โ€“ Faith of Our Fathers, p. 14 C.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons

No need be. The Roman Catholic Church are the ones behind the Dark Ages (more than 50 million Christians killed), they worked together with Hitler during World War 2, and they’re behind the New World Order (which comes with its own Sunday law that will be enforced).

You can’t make this stuff up.

To sum it up:

The mark of the beast = knowingly keeping Sunday instead of Sabbath.

When I think about the test that God will put before us, I think of Daniel’s friends that chose the furnace over bowing down to false gods.

I pray that you choose the Sabbath over the Mark.

How to Read the Book of Revelation

The book of Revelation can not be read like the other books in the Bible.

All the chapters are out of order, and often, so are the verses.

The book of Revelation is like a big jigsaw puzzle that we need to put together.

Once we understand all the pieces the “big picture” emerges.

Don’t get discouraged, because reading the book of Revelation comes with a blessing.

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
– Revelation 1:3

Satan Lied to Us

God said:

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
– Genesis 2:16-17 (NKJV)

Then Satan said:

Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
– Genesis 3:4-5 (NKJV)

There’s quite a lot happening here, so let’s break it down.

Character distortion

Satan wants you to worship him, but if you are in a loving relationship with God, he first has to destroy that relationship.

He does this by lying about who God really is.

For example, he will say things like “The God of the Old Testament is pretty cruel isn’t He?”.

And so on.

You will surely die

Satan said “You will not surely die”. But the day Adam and Eve ate from the tree, death set into their bodies. Sure, they lived to be of an old age, but nonetheless death set into their bodies that very same day.

Sin leads to death, it’s that simple.

The soul who sins shall die.
– Ezekiel 18:4 (NKJV)

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
– Romans 6:23 (NKJV)

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
– Revelation 21:8 (NKJV)

Are we like God?

We are like God in the sense that we have knowledge of good and evil, but that’s where the comparison stops.

We are in no way like God who is Holy, Loving and Righteous.

I am God, and there is none like Me.
– Isaiah 46:9 (NKJV)

But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; we all fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
– Isaiah 64:6 (NKJV)

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
– Romans 3:23 (NKJV)

One look into the world today confirms this. It’s a right mess.

There is no one like God.

Why was the tree there?

God doesn’t want robots. He wants a loving relationship with His children based on free will.

Adam and Eve had knowledge of good, and were happy.

God said “I have kept the knowledge of evil from you for your own good. However, should you choose to have knowledge of evil, you are free to do so, but you will die.”

Satan said “God is keeping the knowledge of evil from you, so that you will not become like God.”

The question is “Are we better off with the Commandments of God?”.

For me, that’s a resounding Yes!

We need God’s Laws which are for the good of all, e.g. Love God, and Love our neighbor.

But God wants you to decide that for yourself.

You choose!

I hope that you can see that Satan lied to us.

Look at the world, and the state it is in. It’s just disgusting.

When we receive our spiritual bodies, the knowledge of evil will be gone.

Wouldn’t that be best for all of us?

A Date With God

The Sabbath commandments begins with “Remember”.

This suggests that God knew we’d forget. Maybe we should have another look at it.

The Sabbath Commandment

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

– Exodus 20:8-11

The Sabbath is actually a date with God (Friday sunset – Saturday sunset).

God says “I’ll see you on Sabbath”.

But then the question is “Where were we on that day?”.

The Destruction of the World

The destruction of the world (Apocalypse) will take place in three stages.

  • 7 Seals
  • 7 Trumpets
  • 7 Plagues

The trumpets are all in the seventh seal.

The plagues are all in the seventh trumpet.

The seals are prophecies about the state of the world just before destruction will begin.

  1. False Christ
  2. War
  3. Famine
  4. Pestilence
  5. Great Tribulation
  6. Heavenly Signs
  7. Seven Trumpets

The above order (from the book of Revelation) is also present in Matthew 24.

The tribulation (persecution of Christians) is the Mark of the Beast test that God will put before the whole world.

When will the seventh seal be opened?

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
– Matthew 24:14

This is also an interesting verse.

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
– 1 Thessalonians 5:3

The trumpets are the beginning of the destruction.

  1. The third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
  2. The third part of the sea became blood; and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
  3. The third part of the waters became wormwood (bitterness)
  4. The third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened
  5. Locusts
  6. The third part of men killed (by the 200 million horsemen)
  7. Seven Plagues

You’ve probably noticed the repetition of the phrase “The third part”. This is clearly God at work here.

Jesus is still in heaven, and there is still mercy.

At the last trumpet Jesus will leave heaven, and probation is closed. No more mercy.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
– 1 Thessalonians 4:16

The plagues are God’s punishments on the wicked.

  1. Sores
  2. Blood seas
  3. Blood rivers
  4. Sun scorches people with fire
  5. Darkness
  6. Armageddon
  7. “It is done”, followed by lightning, rumblings, thunder, earthquake, and hail

The wicked are the ones that, despite all the warnings, have chosen a life without God (death in other words).

Jesus doesn’t come back until right towards the end (in the seventh seal), and the tribulation happens in the fifth seal, so this means we will all go through tribulation. No “rapture” for the church in other words.

God is destroying this world systematically so that we can all choose between a Life with God, or death. God is firmly in control.

The Bible is full of warnings for believers and non-believers alike, so don’t automatically assume that you are “safe”.

Seek God while He can be found…

Two Churches

In the last days there will be two churches.

  • Church of Christ
  • Church of Satan (antichrist)

The church of Christ is based on the ten commandments.

The church of Satan is based on a modified version of the ten commandments.

The changes?

  • The “no idols” commandment was removed
  • Sabbath was changed to Sunday
  • The “don’t covet” commandment was split into two (to get ten commandments again)

This was actually prophesied.

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
– Daniel 7:25

Both churches have a signature commandment by which you can tell them apart. The church of Christ keeps the Sabbath (also known as the Seal of God), and the church of Satan keeps the Sunday (also known as the Mark of the Beast).

Both the seal and the mark are a sign of who you worship.

It [the Sabbath] is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
– Exodus 31:17

When we keep the Sabbath, we acknowledge that God is the Creator.

Who do you worship?

Satan’s church is of course the Roman Catholic Church (antichrist), who have killed upwards of 50 million Christians during the Dark Ages. They also worked closely with Hitler during World War II. They are also the driving force behind the New World Order, e.g. guess who’s in charge of the “one world religion” aspect.

And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
– Revelation 18:1-3

God warns us to stay well clear of this church.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
– Revelation 18:4

Fear God, and Keep His Commandments

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is manโ€™s all.
– Ecclesiastes 12:13 (NKJV)

I think people don’t always realize how big a favor God is actually doing us.

God clearly hates sin, and has even put the death penalty on it.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
– Romans 6:23 (NKJV)

But, at the same time, God hasn’t given up on us yet either, otherwise we’d all be in a lake of fire.

I think God wants us to fear Him, because He is the one who will ultimately judge us.

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
– Matthew 10:28 (NKJV)

I think it’s like saying “pay attention to what I say, because it’s important”.

No one is to relax and say “I’m doing well” (boasting), because we all fall short of the glory of God.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
– Romans 3:23 (NKJV)

Our righteousness is like a filthy rag.

But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
– Isaiah 64:6 (NKJV)

Fear of God is a healthy thing.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
– Proverbs 9:10 (NKJV)

God is not to be mocked.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
– Galatians 6:7 (NKJV)

And we ought to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
– Philippians 2:12-13 (NKJV)

Then, when we keep the commandments of God, we have nothing to fear.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
– 1 John 4:18 (NKJV)

And as we humble ourselves before God, we can come to God in times of need.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
– Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)

Underlining Your Bible

It’s a really good idea to underline certain passages in your Bible.

It allows you to “speed-read” your Bible anytime you want.

– Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)

It might be more difficult to sell your Bible this way, but I reckon it’s worth it.

Sunday Law – Nothing New

The Sunday Law is no joke.

Therefore, also in the particular circumstances of our own time, Christians will naturally strive to ensure that civil legislation respects their duty to keep Sunday holy. In any case, they are obliged in conscience to arrange their Sunday rest in a way which allows them to take part in the Eucharist, refraining from work and activities which are incompatible with the sanctification of the Lord’s Day, with its characteristic joy and necessary rest for spirit and body.
– John Paul II, Dies Domini (1998)

They’ve been working on this for years.

It was also prophesied.

But Christians of past generations observed the Sunday, supposing that in so doing they were keeping the Bible Sabbath; and there are now true Christians in every church, not excepting the Roman Catholic communion, who honestly believe that Sunday is the Sabbath of divine appointment. God accepts their sincerity of purpose and their integrity before Him. But when Sunday observance shall be enforced by law, and the world shall be enlightened concerning the obligation of the true Sabbath, then whoever shall transgress the command of God, to obey a precept which has no higher authority than that of Rome, will thereby honor popery above God. He is paying homage to Rome and to the power which enforces the institution ordained by Rome. He is worshiping the beast and his image. As men then reject the institution which God has declared to be the sign of His authority, and honor in its stead that which Rome has chosen as the token of her supremacy, they will thereby accept the sign of allegiance to Rome – “the mark of the beast”. And it is not until the issue is thus plainly set before the people, and they are brought to choose between the commandments of God and the commandments of men, that those who continue in transgression will receive “the mark of the beast”.
– Ellen White, The Great Controversy, Page 449.1

The mark of the beast is knowingly keeping Sunday, instead of Sabbath.
